Mideast Just peace- Mission Statement

Mideast Just Peace, a Greater Traverse City Area peace group in Northern Michigan, is an educational-activist peace group opposed to the military occupation of the Palestinian area, the destruction of the Palestinian civil infrastructure by the Israeli Defense Forces, the mass detention of Palestinians, the increasing use of road blocks, check points, travel permits and curfews by the Israeli government as a pattern of humiliating disruption of the lives of the Palestinians. The Mideast Just Peace group firmly opposes the U.S. government's political, military and financial support of these policies.

Mideast Just Peace...

seeks to provide a voice for the Palestinian resistance, the anti-Occupation Israelis and Americans who oppose the current U.S. /Israeli policies in the Middle East.

Mideast Just Peace...

supports the Palestinian and Israeli peoples' struggle for a sovereign, secular, democratic, egalitarian Palestinian State that makes decisions based on what is good and just for its citizens and does not discriminate on the basis of religion, national origin, sex or race.

Mideast Just Peace...

was formed in March of 2002. It is a collective experience where individuals propose educational and/or direct action activities, decisions are made by consensus and then the work is divided among the interested volunteers. Mideast Just Peace is not a tax exempt organization but we accept donations to pay for literature copying and library rental fees.
